PARTNER is working in collaboration with Darwin-based Airport Development Group (ADG) to secure an influential, collaborative, and professional Head of Corporate Affairs to join them in a newly created role. Reporting to the Executive General Manager – People, Culture & Community, the role will take overall responsibility for Corporate Affairs and Corporate Communications to protect and enhance ADG’s profile and reputation across their diverse stakeholders, including federal, territory, and local government, media, airlines, regulatory bodies, government agencies and community.
Airport Development Group owns and manages diverse infrastructure assets across the Northern Territory, including airports, hotels, aviation, and commercial buildings, and has ambitious plans to expand into Western Australia and Queensland. ADG is seeking a high-calibre professional with extensive experience in Corporate Affairs management within a complex organisational environment who can work with various stakeholders to enhance ADG’s sophistication in corporate affairs.

ABOUT YOU
- Established relationships with Federal Government agencies and bodies.
- Extensive experience in Corporate Affairs management in complex environments.
- A strong understanding of government structure and regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of the aviation industry would be advantageous.
- A thorough understanding of the media industry with strategic interpretation of public issues, business climate, and current affairs.
- Highly developed relationship-building skills.
- The ability to effectively influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Resilient with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
THE ROLE
- Strategic advocacy development considering industry sector and regulatory policies.
- Proactive Federal Government relations program implementation.
- Build and maintain key relationships with federal and territory government officials, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and local communities.
- Develop and articulate ADG’s communication strategy for effective pursuit of strategic goals.
- Oversee external relations, media releases, publications, and digital channels.
- Support crafting of key messaging, speeches, and presentations for ADG executive and team.
- Review and maintain Crisis Communication Plans for each airport.
- Ensure corporate communications align with the company brand and values.
- Strengthen media relationships for consistent, positive messaging and brand enhancement.
- Maintain key stakeholder relationships, evaluate new sponsorship opportunities, and oversee event support.
- Foster a safe and environmentally conscious culture by identifying, assessing, and addressing environmental and safety risks.
