PARTNER is currently supporting harvesting and tractor parts manufacturer Harvestaire, to secure an experienced Production Manager to lead their manufacturing operations in Perth. The role will take overall accountability of the production and manufacturing facility, with a focus on driving cultural change, increasing productivity, and ensuring the adoption of modern manufacturing processes.
Founded in 1980, Harvestaire is an Australian-owned manufacturer and reseller of aftermarket harvesting and tractor parts – supporting generations of farmers from across the country to get the most from their harvest. Harvestaire is committed to manufacturing in Australia, and they fabricate a broad range of harvester and tractor parts out of their West Australian factory. Harvestaire also sources an extensive range of parts from reliable Australian and overseas manufacturers who share our commitment to quality. Looking to the future, Harvestaire is investing in R&D to introduce new products to the market, and they are constantly looking around the world for other successful farming innovations that can support Australian farmers to get the most from their harvest.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Leadership and management of the production team (14). Increasing productivity, quality, accountability, and staff retention.
- Take responsibility for managing imported RAW materials or part-completed material into the factory for final assembly or further fabrication.
- Drive cultural change and ensure the adoption of modern manufacturing processes.
- Report directly to the Executive General Manager.
- Develop maintenance plans and ensure staff are up to date and regularly trained on all manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure sound and accurate data management processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop production schedules and drive manufacturing targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Stock and Inventory management
ABOUT YOU
- Proven success in a Production Manager position within a similar industry.
- A strong leader who can create a positive work culture and set the direction and vision for the team.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability.
- Experience running modern business applications. Must have experience working with MRP and ERP
- Proven experience driving cultural change in a production environment.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with a focus on lowering production costs
- Passionate about continuous improvement
- Sound purchasing and procurement skills
