ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Director is responsible for the successful delivery of major projects in accordance with the HanRoy framework of economic and technical drivers, including safety, quality, schedule, and commercial targets set out within the business case.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)
- Develop and deliver successfully completed studies and projects meeting the established delivery, safety, quality, and commercial targets.
- Overall accountability for scope, schedule, cost, commercial, resourcing, and quality management.
- Build and lead project teams of high-calibre professionals with the capacity and capability to successfully deliver each study or project.
- Implement appropriate processes and systems to ensure each focus area is controlled within their respective budgets.
- Establish and maintain relationships internally and externally, including government, local community, and indigenous groups, to ensure the successful completion of the project and promotion of HanRoy as respected contributors to the economic well-being of the region and its’ people.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with equity participants, assist in the effective integration of these with Australian contractors.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE
- 15 – 20 years experience in project management in the resource and/or services sector successfully completing large and typically complex resource projects.
- Previous experience predominately with Mining and Mineral Processing focus.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Engineering or similar tertiary qualification essential.
- Post Graduate Qualification in Project Management is preferable.
- Previous technical skills in development, feasibility study and project construction /management.
- Strong, well demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary, high performing team.
